Silicon TV Tuners

Entropic offers silicon TV tuner ICs for satellite, cable and terrestrial applications that conform to most major digital video broadcast standards. Our silicon TV tuner ICs integrate RF functions, including those performed by a surface acoustic wave filter, with other major discrete components onto a single die while maintaining the performance of traditional non-silicon can tuners. Our highly integrated solutions significantly reduce our customers' design costs, component count and shrink the footprint of the tuner in consumer electronic devices.

For satellite Set-Top Boxes, Entropic delivers advanced single-chip silicon tuners to replace complex discrete tuners and reduce both component count and costs. Entropic currently offers two satellite tuners, The RF4900 (QPSK, DVB-S2) and RF4910 (8PSK,DVB-S2).

HDMI™ Receivers

Entropic’s innovative HDMI receiver ICs provide the highest level of integration combined with best in class performance. Using highly advanced digital signal processing techniques to achieve extremely robust, jitter-tolerant signal recovery, Entropic’s industry leading receivers can equalize up to 40dB of cable attenuation at frequencies exceeding 825MHz, far exceeding HDMI specification requirements.
